How to start WalkAbout

After you have installed WalkAbout, start the client using the following instructions. Choose your operating system below.

• Windows 10
• Windows 11
• MacOSX
• iOS

Windows 10

1. Open the start menu by clicking the Windows icon in the taskbar (default bottom left).
   
2. If you do not see WalkAbout you can either:
   • scroll down to “W”, open the WalkAbout folder and click WalkAbout.
   • search for it at the bottom by typing WalkAbout and clicking the icon when it appears. The icon will appear as you type.
     
3. WalkAbout should now open and you should see the room overview window.
   
4. The first time you start the application, Windows will show a window (“Windows Security Alert”) asking if you want to allow the WalkAbout application to access the Internet. Press “Allow access”.

Windows 11

1. Open the start menu by clicking the Windows icon in the taskbar (default slightly to the left at the bottom).
   
2. If you do not see WalkAbout you can either:
   • press “All apps” and scroll down to “W”, open the WalkAbout folder and click WalkAbout.
   • search for it at the top by typing WalkAbout and clicking the icon when it appears. The icon will appear as you type.
     
3. WalkAbout should now open and you should see the room overview window.
   
4. The first time you start the application, Windows will show a window (“Windows Secutiry Alert”) asking if you want to allow the WalkAbout application to access the Internet. Press “Allow access”.

MacOSX

Click on the WalkAbout icon where you saved it after downloading the application.

iOS

Click on the WalkAbout icon.
